Somewhere over the rainbow

Sunday night, 16 July 2017.
Maddy and I were just bumping around on a Munich evening, having napped off some jet lag for a chunk of the afternoon.  We walked through Marienplatz where, as usual, things were a-brewing.  Stage getting set up for an event that evening.  We kept on going, around the Frauenkirche, into the Frauenkirche, out of the Frauenkirche.  We had dinner next to the Frauenkirche, enjoying more Augustiner beer (seems to be what we have gravitated to thus far on the trip).

Coming back through Marienplatz, the event was in full swing.  A gay rights concert ("Gleiche Rechte, Gegen Rechts" - Equal rights, against the Right.  A Queen cover band was on stage.  A really good one.  We rocked out there and enjoyed yet another Augustiner while singing away to Radio Gaga, Bohemian Rhapsody and We Are The Champions.  Full disclosure - we split this Augustiner.

It was one of those powerful moments.  One you just stumble upon.  There was a lot of positive energy in that square and you really felt that "Alle Menschen sind vor dem Gestz gleich" (all are equal before the Law), as the banner hanging from the Rathaus proudly stated.  I may have more to say later but, for the moment, that's it.

Alle Menschen werden Bruder won Dein sanfter Flugel weilt.
